ThriveHost Backup Policy
Automatic Backups
ThriveHost’s backup service runs daily, retaining up to 3 backups of your Control Panel. These can be restored through the Control Panel interface.
Note: ThriveHost provides backups as a courtesy and does not guarantee them. Customers are responsible for their own backups and web content. We encourage customers to generate and download backups from the Control Panel for extra protection.
Shared Hosting and WordPress Hosting Plans
ThriveHost creates daily backups and keeps up to 7 backups. While our goal is to have the most recent 7 days of backups available, we do not guarantee daily backups. However, at least 7 backups will always be available for restoration. Please refer to our guide for viewing and restoring backups.
VPS Hosting Plans
ThriveHost does not create backups for VPS hosting plans. For backup options, please see the Premium Backup Solution section.
Dedicated Servers
ThriveHost does not create backups for dedicated servers. By default, dedicated servers are set up with RAID1 for data mirroring, but this is not a backup solution. We recommend our premium backup solution for dedicated servers. Refer to the Premium Backup Solution section for details.
Manual Backups
Manual backups can be generated from Control Panel for Shared Hosting and Reseller Hosting plans. Refer to our guide on generating manual backups in Control Panel.
For VPS Hosting and Dedicated servers, manual backups are not available.
Premium Backup Solution
ThriveHost offers a premium backup solution with granular control over backup and restore operations. This solution allows you to back up and restore any files and databases on both Linux and Windows servers.
When Backups Cannot Be Generated
If your disk space or allotted server resource is used up, you may likely be unable to generate manual backups using the Control Panel backup feature. Additionally, on shared hosting WordPress hosting platforms, Control Panel accounts exceeding 20GB may not be included in our daily backups.
We advise that you regularly download your own backups.
